The 50th anniversary of the 111 emergency service in New Zealand was celebrated in 2008. To mark this milestone year, the New Zealand Fire Service, Ambulance Services and the New Zealand Police have launched a joint emergency services web site to record its history and to provide current information to the New Zealand public on this critical community service.
