Even though the world economy is getting a little tighter, there are still a number of companies in all disciplines looking for qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyors. New Zealand still has a number of sizeable projects on the cards and with the 2011 Rugby world cup not that far away, these projects have deadlines that really need to be met. There are a number of employers and recruitment agencies looking for Quantity Surveyors from top end Juniors to Seniors to join the teams to get these building, civil and interiors projects of the ground. To be eligible for a visa you will need a Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) and a minimum of three years' post graduation work experience. You may need to have your qualification assessed by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. We can help you with this process. Registration is not compulsory but certification as a registered Quantity Surveyor can be obtained from the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors www.nziqs.co.nz
