District Health Boards across New Zealand are crying out for qualified and experienced midwives! Current immigration policy requires that midwives applying for work permits or residency be employed in hospitals, not as independent practitioners. To be eligible for a visa, you will need a Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification. To be permitted to practise in New Zealand, midwives must be registered with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand and hold an annual practising certificate. We can assist you with this process.
