There are a number of hospitals and free ambulance services throughout New Zealand currently recruiting qualified ambulance officers and paramedics. In general, your responsibilities will include areas such as patient care, driving/safe patient transport, vehicle equipment checks and maintenance, and incident management and debriefing. To be eligible for a visa under the Government’s Long Term Skill Shortage list, you will need a National Diploma in Ambulance (Paramedic) (Level 7) and two years experience in this role.
